Schools

Camp Pinewood has been providing lifelong memories for over 80 years. Nestled deep in the woods by a spring fed lake, it’s the perfect place to bring your school, scout, church or other youth or adult group.

Both of our group education programs stress the core values of respect, responsibility, caring and honesty. Children discover new facts about the natural world around them, but more importantly, they learn about themselves, other students and adults. Chose from two programs or build your own.

Environmental education

Students gain knowledge along with an understanding of
where they fit into the natural world. The approach is
summarized by the phrase; Knowledge + Caring = Responsible Choices. This is taught through numerous teaching styles including: experiential education, journaling, singing, role
playing and more.

The longer the stay, the better the program. For maximum learning, our five-day program is ideal, but there are several more economical options.

Leadership training

Leadership training (or teambuilding) uses the principles of experimental learning to create group cooperation, communication and community awareness. It stresses that diversity is a positive and that challenges can be met by working together. The leadership program uses communities or teambuilding; low ropes; and our 24-foot climbing tower. Processing the activity is what leads to a powerful experience.
